Associate Quality Assurance Inspector to join a food manufacturing team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring butchery and poultry products throughout the production process to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and customer specifications.

Candidates with experience in meat processing, poultry manufacturing, food quality assurance, quality control, HACCP implementation, and food safety compliance. The Associate QA Inspector will work closely with production, food safety, and operations teams to maintain the highest standards of product quality and consumer safety.

Job Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Product Evaluation

  • Review and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product specifications, and quality standards for all butchery and poultry products.
  • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress products, and finished goods.
  • Verify meat cuts, trimming standards, product appearance, weight accuracy, labeling, packaging integrity, and storage conditions.
  • Perform quality checks on poultry and meat products to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor product temperatures during receiving, processing, storage, and dispatch to maintain cold chain integrity.

Testing & Measurement

  • Collect representative samples of raw materials and finished products for quality evaluation.
  • Utilize calibrated quality inspection equipment such as thermometers, weighing scales, pH meters, moisture analyzers, and measuring devices.
  • Ensure all measuring instruments are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Record inspection results accurately and maintain traceability documentation.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, food safety management systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production processes to identify potential food safety risks and quality deviations.
  • Verify sanitation, hygiene, and housekeeping practices across processing and packaging areas.
  • Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality concerns.
  • Participate in food safety audits, internal inspections, and compliance assessments.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, quality checks, and non-conformance reports.
  • Investigate quality issues and report findings to QA management.
  • Document deviations and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist in preparing quality reports, trend analyses, and compliance documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production teams, supervisors, and managers to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Provide guidance to employees regarding food safety, hygiene, and quality requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Promote a strong quality culture across the manufacturing facility.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Animal Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector, QA Inspector, Quality Control Inspector, Food Safety Inspector, or QA/QC Officer within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in butchery, meat processing, poultry production, slaughterhouse operations, or meat manufacturing facilities is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality control systems and inspection procedures.

Certifications

The following certifications are highly desirable:

  • HACCP Certification
  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Training
  • Food Safety Level 2 or Level 3 Certification
  • Internal Auditor Training (preferred)
  • ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System knowledge is an advantage
