Bottled drinking water manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE is seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to oversee quality control activities across water treatment, production, filling, packaging, and finished-product operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the beverage manufacturing industry, with direct experience in bottled drinking water production, water quality control, PET packaging, filling and capping operations being strongly preferred.

The Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring product quality, production processes, hygiene, sanitation, packaging standards, documentation, and food safety requirements. The role requires strong practical knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality control procedures, and manufacturing hygiene.

Job Responsibilities

Quality Control in Bottled Water Production

  • Supervise day-to-day quality control activities throughout the bottled drinking water manufacturing process.
  • Monitor the quality and safety of bottled drinking water from raw water and treatment stages through filling, capping, labeling, and final packaging.
  • Conduct quality inspections of raw materials, treated water, packaging materials, PET bottles, caps, labels, and finished products.
  • Monitor product specifications and ensure that bottled water consistently meets established quality and safety requirements.
  • Check production processes and identify quality deviations before products are released.
  • Monitor critical quality parameters associated with water treatment, bottling, filling, capping, and packaging operations.
  • Coordinate with laboratory personnel regarding routine water and product testing where applicable.
  • Verify that finished products meet internal specifications and applicable regulatory requirements before release.

Water Treatment and Production Process Control

  • Monitor quality control procedures associated with water treatment and purification processes.
  • Check process conditions and quality parameters at appropriate stages of production.
  • Monitor filtration, treatment, storage, filling, and distribution processes from a quality perspective.
  • Inspect production equipment, water-contact surfaces, filling lines, storage areas, and associated facilities for hygiene and quality compliance.

GMP, HACCP and Food Safety

  • Ensure effective implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout production and quality control areas.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of HACCP-based food safety procedures.
  • Monitor employee hygiene, production-area hygiene, equipment sanitation, and cleaning practices.
  • Conduct routine inspections of manufacturing and packaging areas to identify food safety and hygiene risks.
  • Verify that cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed according to established requirements.
  • Report hygiene deficiencies and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support food safety and quality audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable UAE food safety, bottled water, beverage manufacturing, and quality requirements.

Quality Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate QC records, inspection reports, laboratory results, production quality records, and food safety documentation.
  • Review quality control records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management.
  • Maintain records of non-conforming products, process deviations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Assist with trend analysis and identify recurring quality problems.
  • Ensure quality documentation is properly maintained and readily available for audits and inspections.

Corrective and Preventive Actions

  • Identify non-conforming products, materials, processes, and packaging.
  • Investigate the root causes of quality deviations and production-related problems.
  • Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure issues are properly closed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, hygiene, production processes, and food safety.

Customer Complaints and Quality Issues

  • Assist in investigating customer complaints related to bottled drinking water, packaging, labeling, product quality, or food safety.
  • Review relevant production, inspection, and testing records during complaint investigations.
  • Coordinate corrective actions where quality issues are identified.
  • Maintain appropriate complaint investigation and follow-up records.

Team Supervision and Training

  • Supervise QC activities across production shifts and ensure required inspections are completed.
  • Guide QC personnel in routine inspections, documentation, sampling, and quality monitoring.
  • Train production employees on GMP, personal hygiene, food safety, sanitation, and quality requirements.
  • Promote a strong quality and food safety culture within the manufacturing facility.
  • Communicate quality issues clearly to Production and management teams.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Direct experience in bottled drinking water manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of bottled water production, water treatment, filling, capping, labeling, and packaging operations.
  • Experience with PET bottles and beverage packaging quality control is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
  • Experience conducting production inspections and finished-product quality checks.
  • Ability to identify non-conformities and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Good understanding of quality documentation, inspection records, and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to supervise QC activities and work effectively across production shifts.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • UAE food or beverage manufacturing experience is an advantage.
