Beverage manufacturing company in the Dubai, UAE producing sparkling water and cola products is looking for a Quality Controller to join its production team. The role focuses on quality control testing, production-line inspections, food safety documentation, laboratory checks, and compliance with applicable UAE food safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect raw materials, packaging materials, and finished beverage cans against approved specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks for Brix, pH, CO₂ volume, fill level, can seam integrity, date coding, labels, and packaging condition.
  • Perform routine quality and production-line checks throughout every manufacturing run.
  • Place non-conforming products or batches on hold and communicate quality issues to the production team.
  • Maintain HACCP, GMP, cleaning, and CIP records accurately and ensure documentation is ready for internal and external audits.
  • Collect and maintain retention samples according to established procedures.
  • Support shelf-life studies, laboratory testing, and product quality monitoring.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including refractometers, pH meters, CO₂ testing equipment, and other relevant instruments.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and calibration records are maintained.
  • Conduct or support microbiological sampling and titration testing as required.
  • Investigate customer complaints, product defects, and quality non-conformances.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain accurate quality-control reports, test results, inspection records, and production documentation.
  • Support supplier approval and raw-material quality assessment activities.
  • Assist with Dubai Municipality and ESMA-related inspections and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with production and management to identify and resolve quality and food safety issues.
  • Provide daily quality updates and reports to the founder and production team.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control within a food or beverage manufacturing plant.
  • Experience in beverage, bottled water, sparkling water, juice, soft drinks, or dairy manufacturing is preferred.
  • Valid HACCP certification is required.
  • ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, GMP, or related food safety training will be an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with beverage quality testing, including:
    • Brix testing using a refractometer
    • pH measurement
    • CO₂ volume testing
    • Titration
    • Microbiological sampling
  • Good understanding of HACCP, GMP, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
  • Ability to identify quality deviations and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of UAE food safety and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Must be available to join immediately.
