The company is seeking a Quality Control & Food Safety Officer to support food safety, quality assurance, hygiene, and regulatory compliance across its manufacturing and packaging operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring production activities, conducting quality and hygiene inspections, maintaining food safety records, supporting audits, and ensuring that corrective actions are effectively implemented. The role is suitable for a food safety or quality professional with hands-on experience in food manufacturing, particularly bakery or frozen food production.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor food safety, food quality, and hygiene standards throughout production, processing, storage, and packaging operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of production areas, equipment, personnel hygiene, raw materials, finished products, and storage facilities.
- Verify compliance with established food safety procedures, GMP, HACCP requirements, hygiene programs, and company quality standards.
- Monitor critical food safety and quality control procedures during manufacturing and packaging.
- Maintain accurate records, checklists, inspection reports, monitoring forms, and other quality and food safety documentation.
- Assist in identifying food safety hazards, quality deviations, process non-conformities, and hygiene-related issues.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions and follow up to ensure identified issues are properly closed.
- Support internal food safety, quality, hygiene, and GMP audits.
- Assist with preparation for regulatory inspections and external certification audits.
- Ensure production staff follow approved SOPs, hygiene procedures, cleaning requirements, and food safety practices.
- Conduct regular checks on personal hygiene, protective clothing, handwashing practices, and employee compliance with food safety requirements.
- Support the monitoring and verification of cleaning and sanitation activities.
- Assist in monitoring pest control, waste management, temperature control, storage conditions, and other prerequisite programs.
- Support the investigation of customer complaints, product quality issues, and food safety incidents.
- Assist with product inspection and quality checks for raw materials, work-in-progress products, and finished bakery and frozen food products.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to resolve quality and food safety concerns.
- Conduct or support food safety and hygiene training for production and food handling employees.
- Promote a strong food safety culture and encourage employees to follow established quality and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date food safety documentation and ensure records are completed accurately and on time.
- Report significant food safety, quality, hygiene, or compliance issues to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety, product quality, hygiene, and manufacturing processes.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food quality control, food safety, quality assurance, or food manufacturing.
- Male candidate required.
- Mandatory HACCP Level 4 certification.
- Mandatory UAE Food Safety Level 4 or Level 5 certification.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food hygiene, quality assurance, and food manufacturing practices.
- Degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Previous experience in bakery, frozen food, food manufacturing, catering, or food production is an advantage.

- Good understanding of food safety monitoring, inspections, documentation, corrective actions, and audit requirements.
- Ability to identify food safety and quality risks and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate food safety and quality records.
- Ability to work effectively with production and food handling teams in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in bakery or frozen food manufacturing will be particularly suitable for this position. Practical knowledge of production hygiene, HACCP implementation, GMP requirements, sanitation verification, temperature monitoring, product inspection, and internal audits will be an advantage.
