A beverage manufacturing company in Umm Al Quwain is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Controller to support its quality control, food safety, hygiene, and production standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring raw materials, production processes, finished products, packaging, storage conditions, and hygiene practices. The role requires strong practical knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, food hygiene, CCP monitoring, traceability, and corrective action procedures.Candidates with previous experience in beverage manufacturing, bottling, or food production in the UAE will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain quality and food safety standards throughout beverage production operations.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, production processes, finished products, and storage areas.
- Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with approved specifications, SOPs, HACCP requirements, and GMP practices.
- Implement and monitor HACCP Level 3 procedures and food safety controls.
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and ensure deviations are identified and addressed promptly.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System requirements.
- Conduct routine quality, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety inspections throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Verify product specifications, batch quality, filling operations, packaging, labeling, and storage conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, production checks, testing, deviations, corrective actions, and food safety monitoring.
- Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with Production and Management teams.
- Monitor employee personal hygiene, cleaning, sanitation, and GMP compliance.
- Support traceability, product identification, and documentation requirements.
- Assist with internal audits, external audits, regulatory inspections, and food safety certification activities.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System.
- Investigate quality and customer complaints and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Report quality, hygiene, and food safety concerns to management.
- Prepare and maintain relevant quality and food safety reports.
- Ensure manufacturing activities comply with applicable UAE food safety requirements and company standards.
Job Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Quality Controller, Quality Assurance Officer, Food Safety Officer, or similar role in food or beverage manufacturing.
- Experience in beverage production, bottling, food manufacturing, or a similar production environment is strongly preferred.
- HACCP Level 3 certification – Mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 22000 – Mandatory.
- ISO 22000 certification will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of GMP, food hygiene, sanitation, CCP monitoring, traceability, and food safety procedures.
- Practical understanding of quality control and food safety requirements in beverage manufacturing.
- Strong documentation, inspection, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to identify non-conformities and support effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- UAE food or beverage manufacturing experience will be preferred.
