A leading Luxury Hospitality Hotel Group in Chennia, India is looking for a Food Safety Specialist to join its Food & Beverage Production team. The role is responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across food production and service operations.

Food Tech Graduates with 2–3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, quality control, or laboratory operations, preferably within the hospitality, food manufacturing, or institutional catering industry.This is an excellent opportunity for a food safety professional looking to build a career with a leading Five Star luxury hospitality organization in Chennai.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular food safety inspections, hygiene assessments, and internal audits across food production and service areas.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI regulations, HACCP principles, GMP, GHP, SOPs, and food safety standards.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain food safety procedures covering food production, handling, storage, transportation, and service.
  • Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and verify food safety controls throughout the food production process.
  • Monitor food temperatures, shelf life, storage conditions, and hygiene practices.
  • Conduct food sampling, quality checks, and laboratory analysis as required.

Candidates with relevant food safety certifications such as the following will be preferred:

  • ISO 22000
  • Other recognized food safety or quality management certifications
  • 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in food safety, quality assurance, quality control, or laboratory operations.
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, food manufacturing, institutional catering, or food production is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene monitoring, internal auditing, and quality control procedures.
  • Experience with food sampling, microbiological testing, laboratory analysis, and food safety documentation is an advantage.
