A food and beverage solutions Industry in Cochin, Kerala is looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our food and beverage processing facility in Cochin. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production activities across various process centers, including cleaning, grinding, blending, seed processing, and sorting operations, while ensuring productivity, quality, food safety, and operational efficiency.

This role is ideal for fresh graduates and early-career professionals looking to build a career in food manufacturing, food processing, production management, FMCG operations, and quality-focused manufacturing environments.

Job Responsibilities

Production Operations Management

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across multiple processing lines.
  • Ensure smooth execution of production schedules to achieve throughput and output targets.
  • Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials, equipment, and manpower required for uninterrupted operations.
  • Track production metrics and prepare daily production reports.

Quality Assurance & Food Safety Compliance

  • Ensure products meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Implement and maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene standards, and food safety requirements.
  • Monitor critical control points and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Food Safety teams to address quality deviations and corrective actions.
  • Promote a culture of quality, cleanliness, and food safety across the production floor.

Team Leadership & Manpower Management

  • Allocate manpower effectively based on production requirements and workload.
  • Supervise operators, production workers, and line staff to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain a safe and positive work environment.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to ensure operational continuity.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance activities to minimize production interruptions.
  • Support inventory management and material utilization initiatives.
  • Communicate production issues and improvement opportunities to management.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Support waste reduction, yield improvement, and cost-control programs.
  • Participate in troubleshooting production challenges and implementing corrective actions.

Job Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in production supervision, manufacturing operations, food processing, or FMCG production environments.
  • B.Tech Freshers are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of production processes, manufacturing workflows, and quality systems.
  • Understanding of GMP, food safety, hygiene practices, and production documentation is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
