Senior QHSE Officer hiring at a leading Catering and Hospitality Industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will lead and oversee all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) operations within our catering and hospitality business, ensuring full compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, ISO requirements, and occupational health and safety protocols.
This role requires a strategic and hands-on professional with extensive experience in QHSE management, food safety systems, HACCP implementation, internal audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance within the catering or hospitality industry.
Job Responsibilities
QHSE Management & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all UAE food safety regulations, health and safety laws, environmental standards, and client requirements.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Lead QHSE initiatives to maintain a culture of continuous improvement across operations.
Food Safety & HACCP Oversight
- Manage and oversee the implementation of advanced food safety and HACCP systems across catering operations.
- Conduct regular food safety inspections, hygiene audits, and compliance assessments.
- Review and update HACCP plans, CCP monitoring records, SOPs, and food safety documentation.
- Investigate food safety incidents and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Auditing & Inspection
- Plan and conduct internal QHSE audits across kitchen, production, storage, and operational areas.
- Coordinate external audits by clients, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare audit reports and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
Health & Safety Management
- Conduct workplace risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Monitor occupational health and safety practices across all facilities.
- Ensure proper implementation of PPE, emergency response procedures, and accident prevention programs.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
Environmental Management
- Ensure environmental compliance related to waste disposal, sustainability, and environmental protection measures.
- Promote environmentally responsible practices throughout operations.
Training & Leadership
- Deliver QHSE, HACCP, food safety, and workplace safety training to staff.
- Mentor and supervise junior QHSE team members.
- Promote staff awareness and accountability for QHSE best practices.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate QHSE documentation, reports, records, and compliance logs.
- Prepare monthly QHSE performance reports for management review.
- Track KPIs and recommend process improvements.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a senior QHSE or QHSE leadership role within the catering, food service, hospitality, or food production industry.
- Strong knowledge of:
- HACCP Implementation and Auditing
- Food Safety Management Systems
- ISO Standards (22000 / 9001 / 14001 / 45001)
- Occupational Health & Safety Regulations
- Environmental Management Practices
- Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification preferred.
- Mandatory certification in Advanced Food Safety / HACCP.
- Proven experience handling internal and external audits.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Immediate joiners preferred.

- Experience in large-scale industrial catering or hospitality operations.
- Strong regulatory compliance and audit management background.
- Ability to lead multi-site QHSE operations effectively.
