Job Responsibilities

The Food Quality Control Executive will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality compliance within the hospital F&B operations.

  • Monitor and implement HACCP-based food safety systems in hospital kitchens
  • Conduct routine food quality inspections and internal audits
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, hospital hygiene standards, and local food safety laws
  • Supervise food handling, storage, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention practices
  • Perform microbiological quality checks and coordinate food sample testing
  • Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, and food safety records
  • Train kitchen and catering staff on hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures
  • Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure patient meals meet prescribed dietary and nutritional safety standards

Job Qualifications

Candidates must hold one of the following postgraduate degrees:

  • MSc Microbiology
  • MSc Food Technology
  • MSc Food Science
  • Or a related field in Food Safety / Quality Assurance

Food Quality Control Certifications

The following certifications will provide a competitive advantage:

  • HACCP Certification
  • Food Safety Level 4
  • QA/QC Certification in Food Industry
  • 3–4 years of experience in catering, hospital F&B, or institutional food services
  • Strong knowledge of food safety management systems and quality assurance procedures
  • Experience in hospital or healthcare catering operations preferred
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills
  • Strong communication and team coordination abilities
