A leading Specialty Food Ingredients Company in Dubai, UAE is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Junior Laboratory Technician – Food and Nutrition with Food Science expertise. Food Lab technician to join its dynamic Food application laboratory team. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about food science, food application trials, R&D laboratory support, and food ingredient innovation.

The Junior Lab Technician will play a vital role in supporting food product development, customer sampling, laboratory operations, and compliance with international food safety and ISO standards. The position contributes directly to accurate food trials, prototype development, and efficient laboratory workflow in a fast-paced food ingredients environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting food application trials for bakery, dairy, beverages, confectionery, and other food segments.
  • Prepare samples by accurately weighing ingredients, following standard formulations, and supporting prototype development.
  • Follow company SOPs and IMCD application lab safety standards and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and applicable clauses related to laboratory operations.
  • Maintain documentation aligned with food safety regulations and quality management systems.
  • Conduct multiple trials and record observations, measurements, and performance results.
  • Support R&D and application technologists during product testing and evaluation.
  • Prepare, pack, label, and dispatch customer food samples in compliance with internal quality procedures.
  • Maintain complete documentation and traceability using Salesforce or internal ERP systems.
  • Ensure timely sample delivery to support customer projects and product approvals.
  • Manage laboratory ingredients, raw materials, and consumables.
  • Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, labeling, and storage conditions.
  • Coordinate reordering to ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records aligned with company compliance procedures.

Job QUalifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science.Strong understanding of food ingredients, food processing, and laboratory practices.Knowledge of food safety principles, GMP, and basic ISO standards.
