An Organic Agro produce company in Tamil Nadu is looking for a Laboratory Analyst Supervisor, having strong technical knowledge of food testing, food safety systems, and laboratory operations within the food processing industry. This role is critical in ensuring raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products meet defined quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming raw material and packaging material testing as per approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) and verify compliance with the defined specifications of Organic Products.
- Perform finished product testing to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance before product release.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date analytical records in prescribed formats and ensure proper documentation practices.
- Carry out in-house calibration of laboratory instruments and maintain calibration records.
- Manage and monitor the inventory of laboratory chemicals, reagents, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
- Ensure a high level of laboratory hygiene and sanitation in line with Organic ood safety standards.
- Comply with regulatory requirements, internal quality systems, and applicable food safety standards during all laboratory activities.
- Coordinate and ensure regular pest control activities are carried out effectively within the premises.
- Monitor and enforce personal hygiene practices among food handlers and production staff.
- Maintain effective internal and external communication with quality, production, and management teams.
- Report daily activities, test results, and quality issues to the Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance (QA).
Job Qualifications
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications relevant to the food processing and manufacturing industry:
- M.Sc. in Microbiology
- M.Sc. in Biochemistry
- B.Sc. in Microbiology
- B.Sc. in Biochemistry
- B.Tech in Food Technology
- Any equivalent qualification suitable for working in a food manufacturing environment
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a food manufacturing or food processing industry, preferably in a quality control or laboratory role.
