Cafeteria Attendant – Vacancy for a dedicated and service-oriented Cafeteria Attendant in Dubai, UAE, for Restaurant Operations to support the smooth operation of the staff cafeteria in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely meal service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and providing a pleasant dining experience for employees. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to food safety and hospitality standards.
Job Responsibilities – Cafeteria Attendant
- Assist with the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals to staff in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure all food service areas, counters, and display stations are clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, chairs, floors, and service equipment in accordance with hygiene standards
- Refill food items, beverages, condiments, cutlery, and serving utensils during service hours
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures as per HACCP and local food safety regulations
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required
- Collect used trays, dishes, and utensils and ensure proper washing, disposal, and storage
- Segregate and dispose of waste correctly in line with environmental and hygiene policies
- Report food shortages, equipment faults, or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly
- Greet staff politely and maintain a professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude
- Follow company grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards at all times
- Perform cafeteria opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and shutdown procedures
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality, hotel, or catering sector is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and cleanliness standards
- Good communication skills and a positive customer service mindset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Physically fit to stand for long hours and perform cleaning and lifting tasks
