A leading Beverage Production company in Tamil Nadu, India is hiring a Food Technologist with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct sensory evaluations, microbiological, and chemical analyses of both food and liquor-based products to ensure quality and consistency.
 - Develop and optimize new formulations, focusing on innovation, market trends, and product stability across categories.
 - Oversee fermentation trials, ingredient blending, and flavor enhancement for liquor and food-based applications.
 - Support process development and scale-up from laboratory to production, ensuring seamless transition and quality retention.
 
- Monitor and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and FSMS protocols to maintain product safety and compliance.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability in product development.
 - Ensure all formulations, labeling, and testing adhere to FSSAI, excise, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
 - Conduct stability studies and shelf-life evaluations for new and existing products.
 - Maintain accurate documentation for R&D projects, quality control records, and trial reports.
 - Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes in both food and alcoholic beverage sectors.
 
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Fermentation Technology, or a related field.
 - Minimum 4 years of experience in R&D, product development, or quality control within the food or liquor manufacturing industry.
 - In-depth knowledge of fermentation processes, distillation, flavor development, and product stability testing.
 - Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and labeling requirements for both food and alcoholic beverages.
 - Proficiency in analytical testing, sensory evaluation, and instrumental techniques (GC, HPLC, spectrophotometry, etc.).
 - Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and data interpretation skills.
 - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment with high attention to detail.
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-departmental coordination.
 - Experience in liquor product innovation or functional beverages.
 - Exposure to plant-based or health-oriented product formulations.
 - Knowledge of sustainability practices in product design and manufacturing.
