Position: Lecturer / Food Technology Teacher

Qualification Required: M.Sc. in Food Technology
A leading academic institution in Kerala, India, is looking for a Food Technology Teacher with the following:
Job Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Instruction:
- Deliver engaging lectures to graduate-level students in Food Technology, ensuring complex concepts are communicated effectively.
- Conduct laboratory practical sessions, demonstrations, and workshops to provide hands-on learning experiences.
- Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and examinations.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and educational technologies to enhance student learning and participation.
2. Research & Academic Contributions:
- Undertake high-quality research in the field of Food Technology, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in areas such as food processing, safety, preservation, and innovation.
- Publish research findings in reputable journals, conferences, and academic platforms.
- Guide and supervise graduate students in their research projects, theses, and dissertations, providing technical expertise and academic support.
3. Course Development & Curriculum Enhancement:
- Design, develop, and update courses and curricula to ensure alignment with the latest industry trends, academic standards, and technological advancements.
- Introduce new modules, practical exercises, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities to strengthen the overall academic program.
4. Student Mentoring & Support:
- Provide academic and career guidance to students, helping them plan their professional pathways in the food industry.
- Offer mentorship and support for personal development, research skills, and employability enhancement.
- Actively engage with students to create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
5. Collaboration & Professional Engagement:
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues on research projects, curriculum planning, and academic initiatives.
- Represent the institution at conferences, seminars, workshops, and industry forums to build networks and partnerships.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, technological developments, and best practices in the field of Food Technology.
Job Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Food Technology (essential).
- Strong teaching and research aptitude, with proven experience in graduate-level education preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for mentoring students and contributing to academic excellence.
