Quality Executive -Spices Manufacturing

Seeking a Quality Executive vacancy in Mumbai, India to join Spices Manufacturing Company and ensure that spice products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have 1–3 years of hands-on experience in the food or spice manufacturing industry and a strong background in food science and quality assurance practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Perform laboratory tests including chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses of spices.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with HACCP, FSSAI, ISO, and other food safety standards.

• Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and documentation.
• Investigate quality deviations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support R&D and production teams with product testing and shelf-life studies.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate test records, reports, and data in laboratory systems.
• Train and guide production staff on quality and hygiene standards.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline (mandatory).
• 1–3 years of experience in a quality control/quality assurance role within the food or spice industry.
• Solid understanding of food chemistry, spice processing, and food safety regulations.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing techniques, analytical instruments, and quality management systems.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and laboratory information systems.
• Work will be carried out in both laboratory and production floor settings.
• Requires standing for extended periods and handling of spice powders, raw ingredients, and laboratory chemicals.
• Strict adherence to the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
