The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining food safety, quality assurance, supplier compliance, and operational excellence throughout McDonald’s Qatar restaurants. The position involves coordinating food quality programs, conducting supplier and restaurant audits, investigating customer complaints, managing the test kitchen, validating new products and equipment, and ensuring compliance with McDonald’s global quality management systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches, monitor supplier performance, and implement continuous food safety improvements across the business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary quality assurance contact for restaurants regarding food quality, food safety, and customer complaint investigations.
  • Investigate product quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct internal restaurant quality audits to ensure compliance with McDonald’s food safety standards.
  • Support restaurants in preparing for third-party food safety, hygiene, and quality audits.
  • Develop and monitor corrective action plans following audit findings.
  • Evaluate supplier performance against food safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintain and update product specifications, quality documentation, and supplier records.
  • Conduct supplier audits and manufacturing plant inspections.
  • Verify compliance with sanitation, HACCP, GMP, food safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Review manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Manage the McDonald’s test kitchen for product development and validation activities.
  • Coordinate product testing, sensory evaluations, cooking trials, and equipment validations.
  • Ensure food safety practices are followed within the test kitchen environment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Product Development, Marketing, and approved suppliers.
  • Support successful product launches through quality verification and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in implementing McDonald’s global quality systems and operational standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food safety and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain quality assurance reports, audit documentation, and compliance records.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience conducting supplier and food safety audits.
  • Knowledge of international food safety standards and quality management systems.
  • Experience working with food product development or product validation is an advantage.
