Food Safety – QHSE Officer to join a catering Induatry in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE) and Food Safety Management Systems to ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international food safety standards.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in food safety, HACCP, ISO 22000, catering operations, occupational health and safety, and quality assurance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, UAE Municipality requirements, and company standards.
  • Conduct regular food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety inspections.
  • Perform risk assessments and identify potential food safety and occupational hazards.
  • Monitor implementation of HACCP, GMP, GHP, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
  • Verify compliance with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 requirements where applicable.
  • Lead internal audits and assist during external audits by regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
  • Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, accidents, and near misses.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Monitor personal hygiene, cleaning schedules, pest control, waste management, and sanitation programs.
  • Conduct supplier and raw material quality inspections when required.
  • Prepare and maintain QHSE documentation, reports, inspection records, and audit findings.
  • Deliver food safety and health & safety training to kitchen staff, food handlers, and operational employees.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and promote a strong food safety and safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and safety awareness initiatives.
  • Monitor environmental compliance and waste disposal practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000, Food Safety, NEBOSH, or IOSH will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of UAE food safety regulations and catering industry standards.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good report writing and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
