Quality Control Intern oppurtunity at a leading Facilties and Sustainability Industry in Dubai, UAE. We are looking for a motivated Quality Control Intern to join our Food Science & R&D team in Dubai.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in food quality assurance, laboratory coordination, supplier documentation, food safety compliance, product validation, quality management systems, and regulatory documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Quality Control professionals to ensure that food products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Review supplier quality documents, technical specifications, product information, and compliance records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing product documentation for internal quality approvals and customer approval processes.
  • Verify supplier documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (COAs), product specifications, declarations, and supporting technical documents.
  • Organize, maintain, and update quality documentation to ensure complete traceability and easy retrieval.
  • Support supplier qualification and product validation activities by maintaining accurate documentation records.
  • Coordinate laboratory sample submissions according to approved sampling plans and testing schedules.
  • Liaise with internal laboratories and third-party testing facilities regarding sample collection, testing requirements, and reporting timelines.
  • Review laboratory test reports and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to ensure compliance with established product specifications.
  • Report any deviations, abnormal laboratory results, or quality concerns to the Quality Control Officer for further investigation.
  • Maintain detailed records of laboratory testing, product batches, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
  • Review shipping and export documentation, including:
    • Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
    • Inspection Reports
    • Commercial Invoices
    • Packing Lists
    • Certificates of Origin
    • Quality Certificates
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all shipment-related quality documentation.
  • Support product release activities by confirming that only compliant products are approved for shipment.
  • Assist in investigating product non-conformities, customer complaints, and quality incidents.
  • Participate in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and monitor progress until successful closure.
  • Maintain full traceability between suppliers, production batches, laboratory results, inspection records, and customer shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, laboratories, inspection agencies, logistics teams, and internal departments regarding quality-related matters.
  • Follow company Quality Management System (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP principles, food safety standards, and internal quality procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen product quality, food safety, and documentation processes.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in:
    • Food Science
    • Food Technology
    • Microbiology
    • Biotechnology
    • Life Sciences
    • Nutrition
    • or another related scientific discipline.
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 year of experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Internship or academic laboratory experience is an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of Food Quality Control and Food Safety principles.
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, or other food safety management systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent documentation and record management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and laboratory reports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passion for food quality, food safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn laboratory, quality assurance, and regulatory processes.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
