A leading manufacturing organization in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE is hiring a QA Intern (Biotechnology / Food Laboratory) to support laboratory-based quality assurance, food testing, and compliance activities. This internship is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience seeking hands-on exposure to HACCP, ISO 22000, food safety systems, laboratory testing, and quality assurance practices in the UAE food and biotech industry.
This role provides practical training in sample analysis, documentation, SOP compliance, and QA reporting, making it a strong foundation for careers in food safety, microbiology, and quality control laboratories.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in food testing and laboratory analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products following approved QA protocols
- Support implementation of HACCP principles, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and ISO 22000 food safety management systems
- Record, verify, and maintain accurate quality assurance documentation and test results in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in sample collection, labeling, storage, and traceability procedures
- Ensure adherence to laboratory hygiene, safety standards, and contamination control practices
- Assist in preparation of Certificates of Analysis (COA), QA reports, and audit documentation
- Support equipment calibration, validation, and preventive maintenance activities
- Collaborate with production and QA teams to ensure product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Follow internal SOPs, ISO standards, and UAE food safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience (freshers are encouraged to apply)
- Basic knowledge of food safety, laboratory testing, and quality control processes.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate QA records
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing or food processing environment
