A leading food consultancy in Doha, Qatar, is hiring Food Safety Officers to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for food safety professionals with experience in inspections, food establishments, regulatory compliance, and food quality systems.
Candidates with a background in Food Technology, Food Science, Public Health, or Veterinary Medicine, along with strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, and food safety regulations, are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct food safety inspections in restaurants, hotels, catering facilities, food manufacturing plants, and other food establishments.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and operational requirements.
- Carry out food handler inspections and assess personal hygiene practices.
- Collect food samples according to approved food sampling procedures for laboratory analysis.
- Evaluate compliance with Food Safety Management Systems, including HACCP, GMP, and GHP requirements.
- Identify food safety hazards, non-conformities, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain accurate inspection records, and document findings.
- Communicate inspection results and food safety recommendations to business operators and relevant stakeholders.

- Use tablets, digital inspection platforms, and Microsoft Office applications to record and manage inspection data.
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives and promote continuous improvement in food safety practices.
- Work independently in field-based environments while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Public Health, Veterinary Medicine, or a related Food Safety discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in food safety, food establishment inspections, food handler inspections, regulatory inspections, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with food sampling procedures and food safety inspection activities.
- Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, catering operations, food manufacturing facilities, municipalities, food authorities, or regulatory agencies is highly preferred.
- ISO/IEC 17020 awareness or training certification is mandatory.
- Mandatory fluency in Arabic and English (both spoken and written).
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems, HACCP, GMP, and GHP principles.
- Excellent inspection, observation, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital inspection tools.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to food safety compliance.
