The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality, ensuring food safety compliance, conducting laboratory testing, monitoring production processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal applicant should have strong technical knowledge of beverage manufacturing, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), HACCP principles, sanitation procedures, and quality management systems
The Chemist will be responsible for ensuring that all beverage products consistently meet the company’s quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This position involves performing laboratory analysis, monitoring syrup preparation, overseeing production line quality, verifying sanitation effectiveness, supporting customer complaint investigations, and ensuring compliance with international food safety standards.
Working closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams, the Chemist will help maintain high-quality manufacturing processes while ensuring operational efficiency and continuous product improvement.
Job Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing and Quality Control
- Perform physical, chemical, and analytical testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished beverage products.
- Conduct routine laboratory analysis following approved testing methods and laboratory procedures.
- Verify that products meet internal quality specifications and regulatory requirements before release.
- Monitor laboratory instruments and ensure calibration and maintenance schedules are followed.
- Record laboratory results accurately and maintain complete quality documentation.
Beverage Manufacturing Support
- Monitor beverage processing operations to ensure product consistency and manufacturing efficiency.
- Supervise syrup preparation and blending processes according to approved production specifications.
- Monitor critical process parameters during production.
- Support manufacturing teams in maintaining consistent product quality throughout production.
- Verify production line performance and identify deviations requiring corrective action.
Production Line Monitoring
- Conduct startup verification procedures for CAN and PET beverage production lines.
- Monitor filling, packaging, and processing operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Verify process controls during production.
- Support troubleshooting activities related to production quality issues.
- Ensure quality checks are completed at defined production intervals.
Food Safety and HACCP
- Implement and monitor HACCP principles throughout beverage manufacturing operations.
- Identify potential food safety hazards and recommend preventive measures.
- Verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) are effectively monitored.
- Participate in food safety inspections and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with local food safety regulations and international standards.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices throughout production and laboratory operations.
- Monitor hygiene standards for employees, equipment, and production areas.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience working in beverage manufacturing, food manufacturing, dairy, FMCG, or beverage processing industries.
- Strong understanding of laboratory analytical techniques.
- Knowledge of beverage processing operations.
- Experience implementing HACCP systems.
- Good understanding of GMP and GLP requirements.
