Quality Control Technologist to join a Food Industry’s quality assurance team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, production processes, and finished dairy products consistently meet company quality standards, food safety regulations, and international certification requirements.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience in dairy manufacturing, food quality control, laboratory analysis, HACCP implementation, GMP compliance, and food safety management systems. The candidate will play a vital role in maintaining product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections on raw milk, dairy ingredients, packaging materials, processing lines, and finished food products.
- Conduct routine laboratory testing using approved analytical methods.
- Analyze dairy products for:
- Fat content
- Protein analysis
- Moisture content
- Total solids
- pH measurement
- Titratable acidity
- Density and other physicochemical parameters
- Carry out microbiological sampling and testing to verify food safety and product hygiene.
- Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with approved product specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect production equipment and processing conditions to minimize contamination risks.
- Ensure compliance with:
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System
- FSSC 22000 requirements
- UAE Food Safety Regulations
- Municipality and regulatory authority requirements
- Verify sanitation, cleaning, and hygiene practices throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Support internal quality audits, supplier audits, customer audits, and third-party certification audits.
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conforming products using root cause analysis.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Prepare quality reports, laboratory records, inspection documents, and food safety documentation.
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRPs).
- Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, Warehouse, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in product trials, validation studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain complete traceability and documentation in accordance with company quality management procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, beverage manufacturing, or FMCG quality control.
- Previous experience in dairy production is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of food microbiology and laboratory quality testing.
- Working knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety management systems.
- Experience implementing GMP, SSOP, and sanitation procedures.
- Familiarity with ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and quality assurance documentation.
- Ability to analyze laboratory data and prepare technical reports.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and investigation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
