Microbiologist

A leading healthcare institution in the Dubai – United Arab Emirates, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Microbiologist to join its laboratory services team in Dubai. Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:

• Proven experience working as a Microbiologist within the UAE healthcare sector
• Strong expertise in clinical microbiology, diagnostic laboratory procedures, and quality management systems
• Hands-on experience in microbial culture techniques, antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST), and pathogen identification.

• In-depth understanding of infection control principles and hospital laboratory practices
• Familiarity with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations, laboratory compliance requirements, and healthcare accreditation standards
• Valid UAE medical laboratory license or DHA eligibility/registration

Job Responsibilities

The selected Microbiologist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient laboratory operations, including:

• Conducting and supervising microbiological testing, culture analysis, and diagnostic procedures
• Ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable reporting of laboratory results in support of clinical decision-making
• Maintaining strict compliance with laboratory quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and biosafety standards.

• Following and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all microbiological processes
• Collaborating with clinical and infection control teams to support infection prevention and control (IPC) programs
• Supporting laboratory accreditation, audits, and regulatory compliance initiatives
• Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with DHA and international laboratory standards.
