Food Technologist FMCG

Hiring a passionate and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join quality team in Kerala. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on experience in quality control within a food manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in food safety practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Quality Control Monitoring:
Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to ensure they meet product specifications and internal quality standards. - Quality Assurance Implementation:
Assist in developing and enforcing quality assurance protocols and SOPs throughout the production cycle to maintain consistent product safety and quality. - Product Testing and Analysis:
Perform sensory evaluations and analyze the physical, chemical, and microbiological properties of food products to detect deviations and ensure compliance. - Issue Identification & Resolution:
Investigate non-conformities and deviations, identify root causes, and contribute to implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of quality control analyses, inspection results, and production deviations in accordance with regulatory and internal standards. - Food Safety Compliance:
Ensure production processes align with national and international food safety guidelines such as HACCP, GMP, and FSSAI regulations. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with production, R&D, procurement, and sanitation teams to uphold product quality and safety throughout the supply chain. - Audit Participation:
Support both internal and external food safety audits and help implement required corrective actions based on audit outcomes. - Industry Knowledge:
Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the food industry to support innovation and compliance.
Job Qualifications -Food Technologist FMCG
- Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline from a recognized institution. - Professional Experience:
2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment, preferably in a quality control or assurance role. - Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of food chemistry, preservation techniques, and food microbiology.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and food safety practices.
- Practical experience with sensory evaluation and lab testing methods.
- Compliance Skills:
Solid knowledge of food safety regulations (FSSAI) and international standards like HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, etc.
