A growing food and beverage manufacturing company in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a innovative R&D Technologist / Food Technologist to join our Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in beverage formulation, product innovation, food science, and quality-driven development processes, with a passion for creating market-ready, safe, and high-quality beverage products.
Job Summary
As an R&D Technologist (Food Technologist), you will be responsible for developing, reformulating, and improving beverage products from concept stage through to full commercialization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Assurance (QA/QC), Procurement, and Sales to ensure products meet consumer expectations, regulatory compliance, and company quality standards in the UAE market.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end beverage product development, including ideation, formulation, testing, and commercialization.
- Conduct laboratory trials, pilot batches, and formulation optimization for new and existing beverage products.
- Perform stability testing, shelf-life studies, and sensory evaluation panels to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Develop and maintain detailed product specifications, formulation sheets, technical files, and R&D reports.
- Ensure all products comply with UAE food safety regulations, ESMA standards, HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 requirements.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in food and beverage product development (R&D) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of beverage processing, formulation science, and sensory analysis techniques.
- Solid knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and UAE food safety regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with Arabic communication skills preferred.
- UAE-based experience in food manufacturing or beverage industry will be considered a strong advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple R&D projects.
- Candidates with own visa / transferable visa preferred.
