A leading catering and food service organization is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Executive to join its team in Chennai. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance within catering operations, central kitchens, or institutional food service environments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining quality standards, conducting hygiene inspections, supporting internal audits, and ensuring that food products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain food safety and quality management systems across catering and central kitchen operations.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and company quality standards.
  • Conduct routine hygiene inspections and sanitation audits.
  • Perform quality inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished food products.
  • Maintain food safety documentation, records, and quality reports.
  • Support internal and external audits and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor staff hygiene practices and ensure adherence to food safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with production and operations teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Assist in employee training on food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with cleaning schedules, pest control programs, and sanitation standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints related to food quality and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food quality and operational efficiency.

Job Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • 2–3 years of experience in catering, food service, central kitchen, cloud kitchen, or institutional food production.
  • Good understanding of FSSAI regulations and food safety compliance.
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GHP (Good Hygiene Practices), and HACCP principles.
  • Experience in quality inspections, hygiene monitoring, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
  • Immediate availability will be an added advantage.
