The Senior Quality Executive will be responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance (QA), Food Safety, Supplier Quality Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Vendor Quality Audits for staple food products. The role involves ensuring that products consistently meet company quality standards, food safety regulations, and customer expectations throughout the supply chain—from raw material sourcing to finished product dispatch.
This position requires hands-on experience with staple food commodities and a strong understanding of food safety management systems, supplier audits, laboratory testing, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage quality assurance activities across supplier manufacturing facilities and warehouses.
- Ensure compliance with company quality policies and food safety standards.
- Conduct supplier quality audits, vendor assessments, and manufacturing facility inspections.
- Monitor product quality from raw material procurement through processing, packaging, storage, and dispatch.
- Verify compliance with FSSAI, FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, FSMS, and internal quality management systems.
- Review supplier documentation, certificates, and food safety records.
- Perform product inspections and coordinate laboratory testing for raw materials and finished products.
- Investigate customer complaints and quality issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
- Develop and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurring quality issues.
- Conduct quality benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate supplier performance through regular audits and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, Operations, and Commercial teams to improve product quality.
- Monitor warehouse hygiene, storage conditions, and inventory quality.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and quality records are maintained.
- Support new supplier qualification and product approval processes.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Identify process improvements that enhance food quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with changing food regulations and industry best practices.

Job Qualifications
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Food Technology or related discipline

- M.Sc. in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Agriculture, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Food or FMCG industry.
- Mandatory experience handling Staples product categories.
- Experience in supplier quality management and vendor audits.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing quality systems.
- Experience working with laboratory testing and food quality evaluation.
- Prior experience managing food safety and regulatory compliance programs is preferred.
