Junior Quality Control Officer to join a leading pastries and baking manufacturing company in Dubai. Quality Control Officer will support the Quality Assurance team by ensuring that raw materials, in-process products, and finished bakery products meet company quality standards, food safety requirements, and UAE regulatory compliance.This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for food quality, bakery manufacturing, HACCP implementation, and continuous improvement within the food production industry.

Job Responsibilities
Incoming Material Inspection
- Inspect all incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
- Verify supplier documentation and Certificates of Analysis (COA).
- Check delivery temperatures of chilled and frozen products.
- Identify damaged, contaminated, or non-conforming materials.
- Record inspection findings accurately.
Production Quality Control
- Perform routine quality inspections during production.
- Verify product weight, dimensions, appearance, texture, color, and consistency.
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) according to the HACCP plan.
- Ensure production teams follow approved recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor allergen control practices and prevent cross-contamination.
Finished Product Inspection
- Inspect finished bakery and pastry products before release.
- Conduct sensory evaluations, including:
- Appearance
- Taste
- Aroma
- Texture
- Packaging quality
- Verify labels, production codes, expiry dates, and allergen declarations.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Conduct daily Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspections.
- Monitor employee hygiene and food handling practices.
- Verify cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure production areas remain clean, organized, and compliant.
- Report food safety risks immediately.
Documentation
- Complete all quality control records accurately and on time.
- Maintain:
- Temperature monitoring logs
- Metal detector records
- Equipment calibration records
- Cleaning verification records
- Production inspection reports
- File documentation according to company procedures.

Non-Conformance Management
- Identify and isolate non-conforming materials or products.
- Assist in quality investigations.
- Support implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Equipment Monitoring
- Verify calibration status of measuring equipment.
- Ensure weighing scales, thermometers, and other QC instruments function correctly.
- Report faulty equipment promptly.
Continuous Improvement
- Assist with internal quality and food safety audits.
- Participate in food safety meetings.
- Recommend improvements to quality management systems.
- Support customer complaint investigations and root cause analysis.
Job Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of Quality Control experience in a food manufacturing or bakery production environment.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of:
- HACCP
- GMP
- Food Safety Management Systems
- Knowledge of Dubai Municipality food regulations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
