A leading beverage manufacturing industry in Al Ain is looking for a Food – Chemist to join its quality assurance and beverage production team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in carbonated soft drink (CSD) manufacturing, beverage processing, syrup preparation, laboratory analysis, and food safety systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about beverage quality control, food chemistry, and production excellence within the FMCG beverage sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and chemical analysis for carbonated soft drinks, syrups, treated water, and finished beverage products.
- Monitor beverage production lines including CAN and PET filling operations to ensure product quality and compliance with company specifications.
- Conduct syrup preparation, blending, and quality verification according to approved formulations and beverage processing standards.
- Execute startup and shutdown procedures for beverage production lines while ensuring operational efficiency and product safety.
- Carry out CIP (Clean-in-Place) procedures according to CIP Matrix requirements and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), HACCP, food safety standards, and hygiene regulations.

- Support the implementation and execution of KORE requirements and local food safety regulations within the manufacturing facility.
- Monitor chemical preparation processes and maintain proper handling, storage, and usage of laboratory chemicals.
- Conduct quality inspections on raw materials, packaging materials, syrups, and finished beverages.
- Handle customer complaints and perform root cause analysis related to beverage quality issues.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, reports, testing records, and quality control data.
- Use SAP software for documentation, inventory management, quality reporting, and production coordination.
- Participate in internal audits, hygiene inspections, and food safety compliance activities.
- Ensure workplace cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with GHK and hygiene standards throughout production and laboratory areas.
- Coordinate with production, QA, and maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues efficiently.
Food Chemist- Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in handling Carbonated Soft Drinks (CSD) beverages or beverage manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of beverage chemistry, syrup processing, food safety systems, and quality assurance practices.
- Familiarity with HACCP implementation, GMP, GLP, sanitation procedures, and beverage industry quality standards.
- Knowledge of food laws, labeling regulations, packaging materials, and beverage compliance requirements.
- Experience in laboratory testing, documentation, data analysis, and quality reporting.
- Ability to conduct production line monitoring for CAN and PET beverage lines.
- Proficiency in SAP software and quality management systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field
- Master of Science in Chemistry or equivalent qualification is an advantage
