Food Production Supervisor

A leading food manufacturing company in Dubai is looking for Food Tech Graduates for an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to manage daily operations within biscuit and chocolate manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in food production management, biscuit baking processes, chocolate processing, production line supervision, and food safety compliance within the FMCG industry.

This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in biscuit production lines, chocolate tempering, confectionery manufacturing, automated food processing equipment, and production planning in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily production activities for biscuit and chocolate manufacturing lines to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor biscuit baking, chocolate tempering, moulding, cooling, wrapping, and packaging processes to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Ensure production targets, output efficiency, and delivery schedules are achieved with minimal downtime and wastage.
  • Coordinate manpower allocation, machine utilization, and production scheduling to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Monitor automated food production machinery and ensure proper functioning of processing and packaging equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMP, food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Conduct routine production checks and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, Procurement, and Production Planning teams for seamless manufacturing operations.
  • Identify production bottlenecks, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper documentation of batch records, production reports, shift reports, downtime analysis, and quality control records.
  • Train and supervise production operators, machine operators, and line staff on food safety, hygiene practices, and operational procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing costs.
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations within the food processing facility.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in biscuit manufacturing, chocolate manufacturing, confectionery production, or FMCG food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of biscuit production processes, dough mixing, baking operations, chocolate processing, tempering, moulding, enrobing, and packaging systems.
  • Experience handling automated food manufacturing equipment and high-speed production lines.
  • Good understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, food hygiene, quality assurance, and food safety management systems.
  • Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced food production environment.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and production coordination skills.
  • Experience in the GCC/UAE food manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
