A clinical laboratory of Healthcare is looking for a Biotechnologist with Molecular Biology and Genetics specialising in Lab Technologist in Dubai. Job Responsibilities
- Perform advanced molecular biology and genetic testing including PCR, qPCR, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), Sanger sequencing, MLPA, Karyotyping, and FISH
- Handle sample processing, nucleic acid extraction, purification, and preparation from various biological specimens
- Conduct testing on prenatal, postnatal, oncology, and clinical diagnostic samples
- Analyze complex laboratory data and generate accurate, detailed, and timely reports
- Ensure strict compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), CAP/ISO standards, and laboratory safety protocols
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot molecular laboratory equipment and instruments
- Participate in internal and external quality control (QC) and proficiency testing programs
- Support the development, validation, and implementation of new molecular assays and diagnostic methodologies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready laboratory workspace in line with GMP and GLP practices
- Collaborate with the Clinical Laboratory Manager and Supervisors for sample analysis, result validation, and reporting
- Assist in quality assurance, accreditation processes, and regulatory compliance audits.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or related field
- Valid DHA or DOH license as a Molecular Biology Technologist / Genetic Technologist
- Preferred certification: ASCP (MB) or equivalent international certification
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a molecular biology or genetics laboratory, preferably within a clinical diagnostic setting in UAE
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in molecular diagnostic techniques such as PCR, qPCR, POCT, Sanger sequencing, and NGS
- Knowledge of cytogenetics techniques including Karyotyping and FISH
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools, genomic data analysis, and genetic databases
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is an added advantage
- Ability to quickly adapt to emerging technologies and advanced laboratory methods
Soft Skills

Preferred Qualifications – Biotechnologist

- Prior exposure to clinical genomics, oncology diagnostics, or prenatal genetic testing.
