A leading Airlines Catering Industry in Dubai UAE, is providing for an intern in Food Safety with the following
Responsibilities
- Support the verification and monitoring of Critical Control Points (CCPs), Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRPs), and Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) as defined in the approved Hazard Control Plan, ensuring full compliance with airline catering food safety standards.
- Assist in the collection of food, environmental, and swab samples for microbiological analysis in line with the approved sampling plan and laboratory requirements.
- Support food safety data collection and documentation, including assistance in customer complaint investigations, product traceability exercises, and root cause data gathering.
- Maintain and update food safety records and registers, including monitoring logs, verification records, corrective action reports, and internal audit documentation.
- Conduct personal hygiene inspections of food handlers, verify compliance with the established Personal Hygiene Policy, and report any deviations to the Food Safety Team.
- Assist the Food Safety team during internal audits, inspections, and operational verifications.
- Provide administrative support related to Food Safety Management System (FSMS) activities as and when required.
- Support the Food Safety department in carrying out additional operational and compliance-related tasks to ensure safe food production in a high-risk airline catering environment.
Internship Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related science discipline.
- Level 2 Food Safety Training (mandatory).
- Minimum 6 months of general experience in food production, food manufacturing, airline catering, or microbiology-related environments.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internships or industrial training exposure may also be considered.
