Quality Controller (QC) to join a Frozen Dessert Manufacturing team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality, food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

This opportunity is ideal for food industry professionals who are passionate about quality assurance, food safety systems, and delivering safe, high-quality frozen dessert products to consumers. The selected candidate will work closely with the production, warehouse, and quality assurance teams to ensure all products consistently meet company specifications, UAE food regulations, and international food safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor product quality throughout raw material receiving, production, packaging, storage, and dispatch operations.
  • Perform routine quality inspections on raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and packaging materials.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, GHP, food safety management systems, and company quality policies.
  • Conduct daily production line inspections to verify adherence to quality standards and operational procedures.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and operational prerequisite programs (OPRPs) where applicable.
  • Record and monitor freezer, cold room, blast freezer, storage, and transportation temperatures to maintain product integrity.
  • Verify sanitation and hygiene practices across production areas, equipment, utensils, and personnel.
  • Conduct environmental hygiene inspections and support microbiological monitoring activities.

  • Identify product defects, quality deviations, and food safety risks, and immediately report non-conformities.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure compliance with product specifications, recipes, process parameters, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, temperature logs, sanitation checklists, and production documentation.
  • Support internal quality audits, supplier audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, warehouse, and procurement teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Municipality food safety regulations and company food safety objectives.
  • Participate in quality and food safety training programs and promote a strong food safety culture within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or B.Tech) in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Dairy Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000, Food Safety, or Quality Management will be an advantage.
  • 1–5 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Food Safety within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Previous experience in Frozen Desserts, Ice Cream, Dairy Products, Frozen Foods, Bakery, Beverages, or FMCG manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic knowledge and industrial training may also be considered for junior positions.

Required Skills – Food Quality Controller

  • Good understanding of HACCP principles and GMP requirements.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, GHP, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Experience in production quality inspections and quality documentation.
  • Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
