A Petfood Trading and Manufacturing Company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Quality Control Officer with the following : ,
Job Responsibilities
- Quality & Hygiene Checks:
Perform routine inspections of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal quality and hygiene standards. - Process Monitoring:
Continuously monitor production processes to ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP, and food safety protocols, especially during night operations. - Stock Monitoring:
Track and record inventory movement and stock levels within the production unit to support seamless production flow. - Workforce Supervision:
Observe worker practices and provide immediate corrective feedback on any unsafe behavior, poor hygiene, or quality lapses.
- Label Verification:
Ensure that all products are labeled accurately according to the packaging specifications and regulatory requirements. - Issue Escalation:
Immediately report any quality deviations, product non-conformities, or equipment concerns to the Production Supervisor or QA Manager. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality checks, deviations, corrective actions, and stock logs for audit and traceability purposes. - Audit Support:
Assist in preparing for internal and external food safety or customer audits by providing necessary records and compliance evidence.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Food Safety within the food manufacturing, FMCG, dairy, bakery, beverage, catering, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and food safety management systems.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality food regulations and UAE food safety requirements is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong documentation and report-writing abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management systems.
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
