A leading food manufacturing company in Doha is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor to oversee and strengthen quality control and food safety systems for frozen poultry and ready-to-cook product lines. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with international food safety standards while maintaining consistent product quality across all production stages.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000, and hands-on experience in food production environments.

Job Responsibilities

Quality Control & Food Safety Management

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
  • Ensure adherence to HACCP plans, GMP guidelines, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 standards across all operations.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of Quality Control Technicians and Officers.
  • Conduct regular food safety training sessions, hygiene briefings, and awareness programs.
  • Foster a strong food safety culture and ensure strict compliance with hygiene and operational standards.

Testing, Inspection & Compliance

  • Oversee sampling, laboratory testing, and inspection processes to maintain product integrity.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of batch records, test reports, and QA/QC documentation systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory and quality control equipment for reliable testing outcomes.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Work closely with procurement teams to ensure supplier quality compliance for raw materials.

Customer Complaints & Continuous Improvement

  • Investigate customer complaints, product deviations, and quality incidents, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize processes.

Shelf-Life & Product Stability

  • Design and conduct shelf-life studies and stability testing for frozen poultry and ready-to-cook products.
  • Establish appropriate storage conditions, labeling requirements, and product specifications.

Audits & Regulatory Compliance

  • Lead and support internal audits, external audits, and third-party certifications.
  • Ensure full compliance with local Qatar food regulations and international standards.
  • Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and certification audits.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Master’s Degree is an advantage
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in food manufacturing QA/QC, preferably in frozen poultry or ready-to-cook products
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 food safety systems
  • Expertise in quality control techniques, microbiological testing, and analytical instruments
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality improvement tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, root cause analysis, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience with QA documentation systems, ERP, and quality management software is an added advantage.
