A leading Consumer Packed Foods FMCG food manufacturing company in Dubai is looking for a Lab Technician with hands-on experience in food quality control laboratory operations, particularly within the oats, cereals, wheat, and grain-based products industry. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of physio-chemical testing, proximate analysis, laboratory documentation, and food safety standards.

Experience Required: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing laboratory (preferably cereal, oats, milling, or grain processing industry)
Job Qualification:
- Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related discipline
- Additional certifications in HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, or Quality Control will be an advantage
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a food quality control laboratory environment
- Experience working with oats, oat flakes, wheat, wheat flour, and cereal-based products
- Knowledge of oats milling, wheat milling processes, and cereal product testing
- Good understanding of proximate analysis and routine food quality tests
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment for physio-chemical analysis
- Familiarity with food sampling procedures, laboratory practices, and documentation systems
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards
- Ability to follow SOPs, maintain accuracy, and ensure reliable test results
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to work in shifts and coordinate effectively with production and QA teams
- Good communication, reporting, and documentation skills
Job Responsibilities:
Quality Testing & Laboratory Analysis
- Perform routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished food products
- Conduct quality analysis of oats and cereal-based products, including:
- Moisture analysis
- Bulk density testing
- Oat flake integrity evaluation
- Flake thickness measurement
- Sensory evaluation
- Physical and chemical quality parameters
- Carry out proximate analysis and other laboratory quality checks as per SOP requirements
Laboratory Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, and certificates of analysis (COAs)
- Maintain calibration records for laboratory instruments and equipment
- Ensure proper sample identification, traceability, and documentation
- Follow internal quality procedures and food safety requirements
Quality Assurance Support
- Support QA and production teams during quality deviations, investigations, and non-conformities
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Prepare samples for external laboratory testing when required
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and company food safety standards
