A leading Food Safety, Halal Certification and Testing Consultancy in Dubai, UAE is looking for an experienced Halal Auditor to join its professional audit and certification team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting Halal certification audits, evaluating compliance with applicable Halal standards, and preparing accurate audit reports.
This position is suitable for professionals with strong experience in Halal auditing, food safety, food manufacturing, F&B operations, ISO 19011 auditing principles, and GSO/UAE 2055 requirements.

Job Responsibilities
The Halal Auditor will be responsible for:
- Planning, organizing, conducting, and managing Halal certification audits effectively.
- Applying established audit principles, procedures, and auditing techniques during certification assessments.
- Reviewing organizational processes, operational activities, facilities, products, and relevant documentation.
- Collecting and verifying objective audit evidence through interviews, observations, document reviews, and sampling.
- Assessing compliance with applicable Halal standards, UAE regulations, GSO requirements, and relevant legal requirements.
- Identifying, documenting, and evaluating audit findings, non-conformities, observations, and conclusions.
- Preparing clear, accurate, and comprehensive Halal audit reports within the required timeframe.
- Conducting audits according to the agreed audit plan and completing assignments within established deadlines.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and security of audit information, client records, and certification-related documents.
- Understanding the organization’s processes, products, operational activities, and business context before and during audits.
- Applying appropriate audit sampling techniques to obtain sufficient and representative audit evidence.
- Communicating audit findings professionally with clients and relevant personnel.
- Supporting the Halal certification process by ensuring audits are conducted consistently and in accordance with applicable certification requirements.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, or another relevant food-related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Halal food requirements, food safety principles, auditing practices, and certification procedures.
- Practical experience within the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry and/or food manufacturing sector is required.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the relevant product and/or service categories for which the auditor will conduct Halal certification audits, in accordance with UAE.S. 2055-2 and GSO.S. 2055-2 requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Halal auditing, based on applicable GSO 2055 requirements and Food Safety requirements.
- Relevant audit experience should be supported by appropriate audit records, audit reports, or an audit log sheet.
- Within the previous 3 years, candidates should have completed at least 12 audit days across a minimum of 4 premises, under the supervision of a qualified auditor.
- Demonstrable practical experience in food manufacturing and/or F&B operations is highly relevant for this position.
