Food Technologist – Central Kitchen in Dubai to oversee and enhance operations within a central production kitchen. This role is critical in ensuring recipe standardization, process optimization, food safety compliance, and consistent product quality across multiple brands and distribution channels.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in food production systems, HACCP implementation, SOP development, and cost optimization, along with a hands-on approach to improving kitchen efficiency and scalability.
Job Responsibilities
Recipe Standardization & Process Optimization
- Convert all recipes into standardized, scalable, and easy-to-follow formats
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all outlets
- Improve production workflows for efficiency and output
SOP Development & Implementation
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all kitchen operations
- Ensure all processes align with best practices in food manufacturing and central kitchen management
- Regularly review and update SOPs for continuous improvement
Food Safety & Quality Assurance
- Implement and maintain HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) systems
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and UAE municipality guidelines
- Conduct regular quality checks to maintain product consistency and safety
Shelf-Life & Storage Management
- Establish shelf-life studies and storage protocols for all food products
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and storage conditions
- Maintain product integrity across retail and delivery channels

Cost Control & Waste Reduction
- Optimize food cost, yield, and portion control
- Identify opportunities to minimize waste and improve profitability
- Monitor raw material usage and production efficiency
Product Development & Packaging
- Support new product development (NPD) initiatives
- Assist in designing innovative packaging solutions for retail and delivery
- Ensure products meet market trends and customer expectations
Training & Team Management
- Train kitchen staff on SOPs, food safety practices, and production standards
- Enforce operational discipline and ensure adherence to quality benchmarks
- Collaborate with production, QA/QC, and management teams
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in food production, central kitchens, or food manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety systems
- Proven experience in recipe standardization and process design
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills for quality control and cost optimization
