QA Supervisor – Food Industry wanted at a leading Drinking water Industry in Ajman, UAE to oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment in Ajman, UAE. The ideal candidate will ensure strict compliance with food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and local regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across production, packaging, and warehouse operations.
Job Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Quality Control Supervision
- Supervise daily QA/QC activities across production, filling, packaging, and warehouse departments.
- Ensure all finished products consistently meet company quality specifications, customer requirements, and food safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance.
Food Safety & Compliance Management
- Implement and maintain HACCP, ISO 22000, and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) across all operational areas.
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the facility.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE municipality regulations and food safety authority guidelines.
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and ensure corrective actions are taken in case of deviations.
Laboratory & Testing Coordination
- Coordinate and oversee microbiological, chemical, and water quality testing.
- Ensure all testing activities meet defined product specifications and regulatory standards.
- Verify accuracy and reliability of laboratory results and maintain proper documentation.
Audit, Documentation & Reporting
- Lead and support internal audits, external audits, and certification audits.
- Maintain complete QA documentation including SOPs, inspection reports, audit records, quality logs, and compliance reports.
- Analyze quality data and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for process improvement.
Non-Conformance & CAPA Management
- Investigate customer complaints, product non-conformities, and quality deviations.
- Implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Ensure proper product recall procedures and traceability systems are in place.
Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise QA inspectors and laboratory technicians, ensuring efficient shift operations.
- Train production, hygiene, and warehouse staff on food safety practices, GMP, and quality standards.
- Promote awareness of hygiene, sanitation, and operational discipline across all departments.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce wastage, contamination risks, and customer complaints.
- Monitor pest control programs, sanitation schedules, and facility cleanliness standards.
Equipment & Calibration Control
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments and quality testing equipment.
- Verify equipment performance to maintain accuracy in quality testing processes.
Job Qualifcations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage, or bottled water industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, FSMS, and food safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience in food quality inspection, water testing, and microbiological analysis.
- Proven experience in handling audits, documentation, and quality investigations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage teams and ensure high standards of quality compliance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality management/reporting systems.
