A leading food ingredients and food distribution company in Dubai is looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join its growing Operations team. The successful candidate will support the Quality Assurance Officer in maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and Health & Safety management framework.This role is suitable for candidates with a background in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Job Responsibilities

  • Complete customers’ Food Safety assessment questionnaires and prepare the required supporting documentation.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to Quality Assurance and food safety-related enquiries from customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare Corrective Action Request (CAR) forms for customers and suppliers and assist with follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized QA documentation in both electronic and physical formats.
  • Assist in maintaining the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) manual, procedures, policies, checklists, monitoring records, and related documentation.
  • Support the Quality Assurance Officer with administrative duties, including document preparation, word processing, presentations, editing, filing, and handling internal documentation requests.

  • Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality procedures when required.
  • Coordinate Food Watch / BFS training requests and assist with customer link approvals.
  • Support and facilitate external audits when the Quality Assurance Officer is unavailable, where required.
  • Conduct monthly Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) inspections and vehicle inspections in the absence of the Quality Assurance Officer.
  • Assist with monitoring compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene, and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, employees, and management on QA-related matters.
  • Identify documentation gaps, non-conformities, and areas for improvement and support appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform other quality, food safety, and operational duties assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates with 2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, food distribution, or related environment will also be considered.
  • Practical exposure to food safety, quality assurance, sanitation, hygiene, or food plant operations is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of HACCP principles and food safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of food industry legislation, quality standards, and food safety procedures.
  • Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene training is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, managers, and employees.
  • Good organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies and compliance gaps.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and results-oriented.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
