A leading hospitality organization in Dubai is seeking a Food Safety Officer / Safety Officer to support safe, compliant, and efficient hotel operations. The role involves monitoring safety and security standards across the property, identifying hazards, responding to emergencies, supporting guest and employee safety, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

The successful candidate should have strong observation, communication, reporting, emergency-response, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy hotel and hospitality environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Patrol designated areas of the hotel and property to identify potential safety and security risks.
  • Conduct daily physical inspections for hazards, unsafe conditions, defective equipment, and other risks.
  • Monitor hotel facilities, guest areas, service areas, and restricted locations.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to minimize risks.
  • Ensure safety procedures and company standards are consistently followed.
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, machinery, and other workplace facilities to identify defects or hazards.
  • Assist management in maintaining a safe environment for guests, employees, contractors, and visitors.

Emergency Response

  • Respond promptly to accidents, injuries, medical emergencies, fire alarms, security incidents, and other emergency situations.
  • Assist guests and employees during emergency situations.
  • Contact emergency medical services when required and provide first aid or CPR where appropriately trained and authorized.
  • Participate in and support emergency response drills.
  • Use appropriate emergency codes and communication procedures when requesting assistance.
  • Prepare accurate incident and accident reports following emergencies or safety-related events.
  • Investigate incidents and gather relevant information through interviews, observations, and documentation.

Hotel Security & Access Control

  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and other security monitoring equipment.
  • Authorize, monitor, and document access to restricted and secured areas.
  • Conduct key control audits and maintain appropriate records.
  • Assist guests with room access when required.
  • Escort unauthorized or unwelcome persons from the property in accordance with company procedures.
  • Protect confidential reports, records, and security-related information.
  • Release confidential information only to authorized individuals.
  • Assist with investigations involving safety, security, accidents, disturbances, or property-related incidents.

Guest & Employee Safety

  • Welcome and acknowledge guests professionally and provide appropriate assistance when required.
  • Respond to guest concerns, complaints, and safety-related requests.
  • Help resolve safety hazard situations promptly.

  • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe working conditions, and identified hazards to management.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable alcoholic beverage control requirements and hotel policies.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Gather information and prepare clear, accurate, and complete reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of incident reports, investigation documents, employee information, and other proprietary records.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately.
  • Enter and retrieve work-related information using computers and relevant hotel systems.
  • Review written documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain appropriate records related to inspections, incidents, investigations, access control, and safety activities.

Training & Team Support

  • Assist management with employee training related to safety, emergency procedures, and company policies.
  • Help motivate and coach employees to maintain high safety and service standards.
  • Act as a role model for professional conduct and workplace safety.
  • Support the company’s fair-treatment and open-door policies.
  • Work collaboratively with different hotel departments to achieve common safety and operational goals.
  • Listen to and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

Job Qualifications
