A leading ice cream and frozen desserts manufacturing company in Dubai is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Controller to ensure that all products consistently meet quality standards, food safety regulations, and customer expectations. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring raw materials, production processes, and finished products while maintaining compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities
Quality Inspection and Monitoring
- Conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished ice cream products.
- Verify that all incoming materials meet company specifications and food safety requirements.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established quality control procedures.
- Perform in-process quality checks to maintain product consistency and prevent defects.
Food Safety and Compliance
- Monitor and record Critical Control Points (CCPs) throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and food safety management systems.
- Support the implementation of food safety programs and quality assurance initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to local UAE food regulations and company policies.
Product Evaluation and Testing
- Conduct sensory evaluations of ice cream and frozen dessert products, including taste, texture, appearance, flavor, color, and overall quality.
- Analyze production samples and identify any deviations from quality standards.
- Verify product specifications, labeling requirements, and packaging integrity.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and testing documentation.
- Record quality deviations, customer complaints, and corrective actions.
- Prepare reports for management regarding product quality performance and food safety compliance.
- Ensure all quality control documentation is audit-ready and properly maintained.
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Identify non-conformances and quality issues during production.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate root causes of quality problems and recommend process improvements.
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
Hygiene and Sanitation
- Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices across production, storage, and handling areas.
- Ensure employees follow personal hygiene and food safety requirements.
- Verify cleaning and sanitation procedures are properly executed and documented.
Equipment and Audit Support
- Conduct periodic calibration checks of testing and production equipment.
- Support internal quality audits, customer audits, regulatory inspections, and certification audits.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO, HACCP, GMP, and food safety certification requirements.
Training and Continuous Improvement
- Train production personnel on quality control procedures, GMP requirements, hygiene standards, and food safety practices.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
- Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance product consistency and operational efficiency.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of Quality Control experience in the food manufacturing or dairy industry.
- Previous experience in ice cream manufacturing, frozen desserts, or dairy processing is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), and quality assurance procedures.
- Familiarity with food production processes, CCP monitoring, and quality testing methods.
- Proficiency in quality documentation, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
