A leading global hospitality brand in Bengaluru , India is hiring a Hygiene Executive to support food safety, sanitation, and HACCP compliance across hotel operations. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in food safety management systems (FSMS), HACCP standards, ISO 22000, and hotel hygiene protocols.
The Hygiene Executive plays a critical role in ensuring that all food production, storage, and service areas meet international hygiene standards and local regulatory requirements while maintaining premium guest experience.
Job Responsibilities
Food Safety & Hygiene Management
- Implement and maintain the Hilton Food Safety Management System (HFSMS) across all food and beverage operations
- Ensure strict compliance with HACCP principles, ISO standards, and local municipality regulations
- Monitor food handling practices to prevent microbiological, chemical, and physical contamination
Audits, Inspections & Compliance
- Conduct daily hygiene inspections across kitchens, storage areas, receiving zones, and waste disposal units
- Perform internal audits and generate detailed reports with corrective action plans
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of sanitation programs
Training & Team Development
- Train and coach kitchen, F&B, and housekeeping teams on hygiene practices and food safety standards
- Promote awareness of personal hygiene, PPE usage, and safe food handling procedures
- Lead HACCP meetings and continuous improvement initiatives within the hotel
Operational Monitoring
- Supervise food storage practices including FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper labeling systems
- Monitor temperature control, cleaning schedules, and sanitation logs
- Identify hygiene risks and implement corrective and preventive actions
Cross-Department Coordination
- Work closely with culinary, engineering, housekeeping, and quality teams
- Liaise with external authorities, laboratories, and regulatory bodies for inspections and compliance
- Support inventory checks and ensure hygienic handling of materials
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
- Minimum 2–4+ years of experience in hotel hygiene, food safety, or hospitality QA roles
- Strong knowledge of:
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
- ISO 22000 / FSMS
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Certification such as HACCP Level 3 / Food Safety Certification is highly preferred
