QHSE Officer wanted at a leading Catering Company in Abu Dhabi, UAE, having Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and maintain all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and procedures in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits at offshore and remote sites to ensure full compliance with HSE guidelines.
- Identify potential hazards and develop corrective and preventive action plans to eliminate or reduce risks.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, HACCP protocols, and Level 4 food safety requirements across all relevant operations.
- Develop and deliver QHSE training sessions for staff to improve safety awareness, food hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with ADNOC and other regulatory bodies when required; support activities related to permits, approvals, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain accurate QHSE records, logs, and certifications for audits, client requirements, and management reviews.
- Support continuous improvement programs by monitoring KPIs, conducting internal audits, and participating in management review meetings.
- Ensure safe working practices during offshore operations, including emergency preparedness, PPE compliance, and equipment safety checks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all QHSE standards are integrated into daily operations.
Job Qualifications – QHSE Officer
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Strong background in food safety, with mandatory certifications:
- NEBOSH Certification (required)
- Food Safety Level 4 Certification (required)
- HACCP Level 4 Certification (required)
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar QHSE or field-based role, preferably within offshore or remote site operations.
- ADNOC-approved QHSE Officer status is an advantage.
- Previous experience in ADNOC, oil & gas, or similar high-risk industries is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations, food safety frameworks, risk assessment methods, and incident investigation procedures.
- Ability to work in challenging environments, including offshore and remote work locations.
- Strong communication, reporting, and team coordination skills.
- Ability to train teams and promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of offshore operations.
