Catering and Frozen Ready to cook catering business operations in Abu Dhabi UAE is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise Daily Production Activities
Oversee all daily operations in the food production unit to ensure that processes are running smoothly, efficiently, and in line with food safety and hygiene standards. - Implement and Maintain HACCP Documentation
Ensure that all required food safety documentation is accurately completed and maintained, including:- Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring records
- Cleaning and sanitation logs
- Receiving checklists for raw materials
- Daily temperature logs for storage and production areas
- Inventory Management
Maintain accurate records of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products. Perform routine physical inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies. Ensure proper storage practices are followed to maintain product integrity.
- Stock Rotation and Control
Enforce FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) principles in stock rotation. Monitor expiration dates and stock levels to minimize waste and prevent stockouts. - Storage Area Oversight
Monitor the condition and cleanliness of chillers, freezers, and dry stores. Ensure that all food items are stored under optimal conditions to meet safety and quality requirements. - Coordinate with Production and Procurement Teams
Liaise with production supervisors and the procurement department to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and packaging supplies, preventing delays in production schedules. - Support Food Safety and Hygiene Training
Assist in planning and conducting hygiene and food safety training for production staff. Reinforce best practices for personal hygiene, sanitation, and food handling. - Participate in Audits and Compliance Activities
Support the preparation and execution of internal audits, customer audits, and inspections by regulatory authorities. Ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards. - Report Non-Conformities
Identify deviations from food safety standards and report non-conformities to the QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) team. Assist in root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). - Documentation and Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports. Ensure that all records are well-organized and available for inspection during audits or evaluations.
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a food production, catering, or frozen food manufacturing environment.
- Experience in supervising production or quality control teams is preferred.
- Food Safety Knowledge
- Basic understanding of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
- Certification in HACCP Level 2 or EFST (Essential Food Safety Training) is preferred.

- Technical Skills

- Exposure to audit environments and understanding of documentation required during inspections or third-party audits.
