Quality Assurance Executive (QA) to join a fast-growing baking and food manufacturing organization in Kochi, Kerala. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring food safety compliance, product quality consistency, and regulatory adherence across all stages of production.
This role is perfect for professionals with hands-on experience in bakery QA, food safety systems, and quality control processes, who are passionate about maintaining high standards in food production environments.
Job Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety standards, statutory regulations, and internal quality protocols across all production processes.
- Implement and monitor Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) to maintain consistent product quality.
- Drive adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GHP (Good Hygiene Practices), HACCP principles, and sanitation standards.
Quality Control & Process Monitoring
- Monitor the quality of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods to minimize deviations and defects.
- Conduct routine inspections and sampling to ensure compliance with quality specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure process control and product consistency in bakery operations.

Testing, Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate quality testing, laboratory analysis, and microbiological assessments.
- Maintain and update QA documentation, records, SOPs, and compliance reports in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support traceability systems and documentation for audits and inspections.
Audit & Compliance Management
- Ensure readiness for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Assist in closing audit observations with proper documentation and corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with FSSAI and other statutory food safety regulations.
Customer Complaints & Continuous Improvement
- Investigate customer complaints and product quality issues using root cause analysis tools.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to avoid recurrence.
- Contribute to reducing product rejection rates, wastage, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) systems in the food industry
- In-depth understanding of HACCP, GMP, GHP, FSMS, and food safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience in quality testing, lab coordination, and process monitoring
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, and deviation control
- Familiarity with audit processes, documentation control, and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
- Certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000, or Food Safety Management Systems (preferred)
