Pharmaceutical Quality Controller to join a leading pharmaceutical company in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting Quality Control (QC) testing and laboratory analysis to ensure that raw materials, packaging materials, bulk products, and finished pharmaceutical products comply with regulatory standards, GMP requirements, and company quality specifications.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in pharmaceutical quality control laboratories, analytical testing, and compliance with international pharmaceutical quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform sampling of raw materials, packaging materials, bulk products, and finished pharmaceutical products according to approved procedures and GMP guidelines.
- Conduct physicochemical testing of raw materials and packaging materials using approved analytical methods and laboratory procedures.
- Perform analysis of finished pharmaceutical products across various dosage forms including tablets, capsules, syrups, ointments, creams, suspensions, and injectables.
- Carry out testing of process validation samples, stability samples, and bulk product samples to ensure product consistency and compliance.

- Prepare, standardize, and maintain working standards, volumetric solutions, reagents, buffers, and indicators required for laboratory testing.
- Conduct chemical water analysis including pH testing, TOC (Total Organic Carbon), conductivity testing, and limit tests as per pharmacopeial standards.
- Perform stability testing at designated stability time points and accurately document analytical results.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and analytical equipment according to SOPs and work instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all laboratory activities are carried out in compliance with GMP, GLP, FDA, WHO, and regulatory quality standards.
- Maintain proper laboratory documentation, analytical reports, calibration records, and test result records.
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) when required.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization within the QC laboratory.
- Coordinate with production, QA, warehouse, and regulatory teams to support product quality and release activities.
- Assist during internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Perform additional Quality Control and laboratory-related duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company or pharmaceutical QC laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical Quality Control procedures, GMP, GLP, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience in physicochemical analysis and laboratory testing of pharmaceutical products.
- Familiarity with analytical instruments, laboratory calibration procedures, and stability studies.
- Knowledge of pharmacopeial standards such as USP, BP, EP, or IP is preferred.
- Good documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage laboratory testing schedules efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety.
- Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory documentation systems.
Skills – Pharma QC
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and dosage forms.
- Experience handling stability chambers and validation samples.
- Understanding of laboratory investigations, deviation handling, and CAPA processes.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, data integrity requirements, and pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
