A leading Chocolate Manufacturing Industry in Ajman, UAE is looking for a QA Officer to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring hygiene practices across production and storage areas, supervising sanitation procedures, and ensuring compliance with HACCP, GMP, and Ajman Municipality food safety regulations.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all chocolate production processes meet strict food safety and quality standards, protecting both product integrity and consumer health.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce hygiene and sanitation standards across all areas of the chocolate manufacturing facility, including production lines, ingredient storage rooms, packaging areas, and finished goods warehouses.
  • Conduct daily hygiene inspections and sanitation audits to ensure compliance with company food safety policies, HACCP requirements, and Ajman Municipality food safety regulations.
  • Ensure employees follow strict personal hygiene practices, including proper use of protective clothing, hand washing procedures, and adherence to food safety protocols during chocolate processing and packaging operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate cleaning and sanitation activities performed by housekeeping and sanitation teams in processing areas, equipment rooms, and storage facilities.
  • Maintain and update sanitation schedules, cleaning checklists, and hygiene monitoring records as part of the facility’s food safety management system.
  • Identify potential hygiene risks, contamination hazards, or sanitation deficiencies, and take immediate corrective and preventive actions to ensure product safety.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of HACCP plans, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety procedures throughout the chocolate production process.
  • Assist in internal food safety inspections and external audits conducted by regulatory authorities, certification bodies, or customers.
  • Provide hygiene awareness training and guidance to production staff, ensuring proper understanding of sanitation procedures and food safety requirements.
  • Monitor pest control activities, waste management practices, and environmental hygiene within the factory premises.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance and Production teams to maintain a hygienic environment that supports safe chocolate manufacturing and high product quality.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related discipline.Valid HACCP Certification (Mandatory).Additional certifications in Food Safety, ISO 22000, GMP, or Internal Auditing will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with UAE Municipality food safety regulations and inspection requirements is an advantage.
  • Ability to maintain detailed hygiene records, sanitation documentation, and inspection reports.
  • Minimum 2 years of UAE food manufacturing experience.Proven experience working as a QA Officer, Food Safety Officer, Quality Assurance Executive, HACCP Coordinator, or similar role in the food industry.Hands-on experience managing food safety systems within a manufacturing environment.Experience handling municipality inspections, regulatory audits, and compliance activities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment while maintaining strict hygiene standards.
