A leading food and facilities management services company in Qatar is looking for a Food Safety Officer to ensure effective implementation of food safety, hygiene, and quality management systems across food service operations. The role is responsible for monitoring food safety standards, conducting inspections, maintaining compliance with HACCP requirements, and ensuring safe food handling practices throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, hygiene standards, and quality control procedures with experience in catering, hospitality, food service, or facilities management environments.
Job Responsibilities – Food Safety Officer Qatar
- Implement and monitor food safety management systems across food production, catering, and facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, food safety standards, and Qatar food safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchens, food preparation areas, storage facilities, and service locations.
- Monitor food handling practices, personal hygiene standards, cleaning procedures, and sanitation activities.
- Verify compliance with temperature control requirements for chilled, frozen, and hot food products.
- Perform daily food safety checks, including:
- Receiving inspection of raw materials
- Storage condition monitoring
- Food preparation controls
- Cooking and reheating temperature verification
- Food holding and serving practices
- Ensure proper implementation of pest control, cleaning, and sanitation programs.
- Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformities.
- Prepare corrective and preventive action reports and follow up on improvement plans.
- Conduct internal food safety audits and hygiene inspections.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including:
- HACCP records
- Temperature monitoring logs
- Cleaning and sanitation records
- Inspection reports
- Training records
- Provide food safety training and guidance to kitchen staff, housekeeping teams, and food handlers.
- Monitor employee compliance with food safety procedures and hygiene requirements.
- Support external audits and inspections conducted by clients, authorities, and certification bodies.
- Identify potential food safety risks and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure continuous improvement of food safety practices within the organization.

- Bachelor’s Degree in:

- Professional certifications such as:

Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or hygiene management.
- Experience working in:

- Hotels and restaurants
- Food production facilities
- Institutional kitchens
- Contract food service operations
- Good understanding of food safety standards and regulatory requirements in Qatar.
- Experience conducting food safety inspections, audits, and staff training.
