Food Safety Internship oppurtunity with a leading Food Safety Solutions MNC team in Dubai. This internship offers hands-on experience in food safety management systems, hygiene solutions, process optimization, engineering support, and operational excellence within the food and beverage industry.

The successful candidate will work closely with food safety specialists, engineers, and technical experts to gain practical exposure to food safety compliance, sanitation programs, process engineering, and industrial food production environments.

Job Responsibilities

Training and Onboarding

  • Complete company onboarding programs, compliance training, and corporate policy orientation.
  • Participate in ethics, workplace conduct, and professional development training sessions.
  • Learn company procedures, quality standards, and operational requirements.

Food Safety and Compliance Support

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of food safety solutions, hygiene programs, and sanitation systems used in the food and beverage industry.
  • Assist in monitoring food safety practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Support food safety audits, inspections, and compliance verification activities.
  • Learn industry best practices related to HACCP, GMP, food hygiene, and sanitation management systems.
  • Assist in documenting observations and preparing compliance reports.

Workplace Health and Safety

  • Participate in occupational health and safety training programs.
  • Learn proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in industrial environments.
  • Understand Stop Work Authority procedures and incident reporting processes.
  • Support workplace safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance walkthroughs.
  • Assist in identifying workplace hazards and recommending corrective actions.

Process Engineering and Operational Support

  • Develop an understanding of food manufacturing processes and industrial operations.
  • Learn the fundamentals of Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems and sanitation technologies.
  • Observe and support engineering teams during operational and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in process monitoring, equipment inspections, and operational assessments.
  • Participate in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Collection and Analysis

  • Gather operational, quality, and safety-related data from various departments.
  • Analyze data trends and identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Support preparation of reports, charts, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in evaluating operational efficiency and resource utilization.

Process Improvement Projects

  • Create basic Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) for assigned processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve food safety, operational efficiency, sustainability, or process performance.
  • Conduct basic root cause analysis under supervision.
  • Develop recommendations to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and strengthen food safety controls.
  • Support implementation of improvement initiatives where applicable.

Reporting and Presentation

  • Prepare technical summaries and project documentation.
  • Present project findings, recommendations, and learning outcomes to management and technical teams.
  • Deliver a final internship presentation highlighting achievements, observations, and key insights.
  • Submit a comprehensive internship report and personal reflection on learning experiences.

Job Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in food safety, quality assurance, sanitation systems, process engineering, or industrial operations.
  • Basic understanding of food manufacturing processes and food safety principles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, or food hygiene practices is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
